This Privacy Policy explains how In Real Life (Thailand) Company Limited ("IRL", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the IRL mobile application, the website at joinirl.app, and related services (together, the "Service"). By using IRL, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us and information created as you use the Service:

• Account details: your name, email address, and phone number.
• Identity verification: to verify you are a real person, our verification provider processes your government ID and a selfie. IRL receives the verification result and basic details (such as your legal name), not full copies of your ID documents.
• Profile information: what you choose to add, such as a photo, bio, job, interests, what you're looking for, birthday (day and month), and social links.
• Connections and activity: your connections, introductions, messages, events, and how you use features.
• Location: approximate or place information you provide when creating or joining an event or gathering.
• Device and usage data: app version, device type, and analytics and diagnostic data that help us keep the app working and improve it.

2. How we use your information

• To create and operate your account and provide the Service;
• To verify identities and keep the community trusted and safe;
• To make introductions, suggest people you may want to meet, and deliver messages;
• To send you notifications and reminders you've enabled;
• To improve, personalise, and secure the Service;
• To respond to reports, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.

3. How your information is shared

IRL is built on trust, and we do not sell your personal information. Your information is shared only in these ways:

• With other members: your profile and messages are shared with the people you connect or communicate with, as you'd expect from a relationship app.
• With service providers who help us run IRL, under agreements that protect your data. These include providers for hosting and database, identity verification, analytics and error monitoring, push notifications, calendar and meeting links, AI features that help draft or summarise content, and (where enabled) messaging. These providers process your data only to provide their service to us.
• For legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our members and the Service.

4. AI features

Some features use AI to help you (for example, drafting an introduction message or summarising a conversation). Where these features send content to an AI provider, that content is used only to deliver the feature to you and is not used to train third-party models.

5. Your choices and rights

• You can edit your profile and privacy settings at any time in the app.
• You can block and report other members from their profile or a message.
• You can control notifications through the app and your device settings.
• You can delete your account at any time from Profile settings. When you do, we delete your profile and personal information and remove you from other members' connections. Some records may be retained where required by law or to prevent fraud and abuse.
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us to make a request.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal information, except where we must keep certain records for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly if an issue arises.

8. Children

IRL is only for people aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using IRL, please contact us and we will remove the account.

9. International users

IRL is operated from Thailand, and your information may be processed in Thailand and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this processing.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know through the app or by other reasonable means.
